Green Patriot

Green Patriot was started by David Steinman,an acclaimed environmentalist, consumer health advocate, publisher and author. His major books include Diet for a Poisoned Planet (1990, 2007), The Safe Shopper’s Bible (1995), Living Healthy in a Toxic World (1996), and Safe Trip to Eden: Ten Steps to Save the Planet Earth from the Global Warming Meltdown (2007), the book that introduces the concept of “Green Patriotism.”

I created this site to teach Americans how to practice sustainability, and that all of our pro-environmental efforts will directly or indirectly strengthen our national security and build a safe and secure future for our children. I also want to connect Green Patriot environmentalists and shoppers with green consumer product resources so they can use their purchasing power to support businesses that have Green Patriot policies.
